Catherine Kidd is a Montreal-based writer/performer, best known for her zoological rhyming monologues that blur the boundaries between theatre, poetry and spoken word. Her multimedia solo creations have wowed audiences from Oslo to Capetown, New York to Glastonbury.

Kidd’s most recent creation Hyena Subpoena toured to 50+ performances from Montreal to Singapore. Published as a cd/book, the script garnered nominations for the Raymond Souster Award and A. M. Klein Prize for Poetry.

The opening chapter of her debut novel Missing the Ark was nominated for the prestigious Journey Prize. Her solo show Sea Peach won the Montreal English Critics’ Circle Award for Best New Text.

Kidd’s performance as the warlord Apollyon in Ubisoft’s For Honor earned her a 2019 ACTRA Award for Best Performance in a Video Game.
